Summer Construction Project at the Middle School

We are excited to announce an HVAC construction project at the middle school this summer. This project is essential for improving our facilities and ensuring a better learning environment for our students and staff. Due to this project, middle school office staff will be relocated to the high school, and there will not be any activities at the middle school for the duration of the project. Below are the details of the construction schedule and relocation plans:

Important Dates:

  • June 4th: Last student day. All personal belongings must be removed.
  • June 5: Last teacher day. All personal belongings must be removed from the classrooms and offices for the summer.
  • June 10th: McClure Construction Company will begin moving into the Middle School building.
  • June 13th: All middle school staff will relocate for the duration of the construction project. Middle school administration and office staff will relocate to the high school. You can contact them using the normal middle school phone number, 717-789-3012.  
  • August 8: Tentative substantial completion date of the construction project.
  • August 13: Tentative 6th-grade visitation. Later this summer, more information about this day will be emailed directly to 6th-grade parents.
  • August 16: Teaching staff will return to the Middle School.

Athletics:

The middle school facilities will be unavailable for the duration of the construction project. All athletic activities will take place at the high school. If your child is participating in an activity on campus this summer, please follow the coaching staff's location directions. Access to the road in front of the middle school will be restricted. Parking is available at the high school, varsity baseball field, and stadium.
