West Perry FFA Takes First Place in National Dairy Competition
On September 15, 2025, West Perry FFA members attended the All-American Junior Dairy Management Contest at the All-American Dairy Show hosted at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. This annual contest brings students from all over the nation to compete. The contest challenges competitors on their knowledge of the dairy industry. More specifically, competitors were tested on their ability to judge and evaluate dairy cattle, knowledge of feedstuffs used in dairy cattle rations, farm business management, pesticide safety and handling, Spanish in agriculture, and heat abatement in dairy cattle. West Perry’s FFA team A, consisting of Lila Kretzing, Leah Clouse, Corbin Shambugh, and Olivia Neff, won first place in the FFA division. The team placed in fifth, also from West Perry FFA, consisted of Lucian Kretzing, Ava Wagner, Regan True, and Draven Strout. Individually, Olivia Neff placed 9th, and Lila Kretzing placed 8th. Nine other West Perry FFA members competed in the competition, including Farryn Kuhn, Roslyn Stokes, Henna Windemaker, Elizabeth Innerst, Maho Comp, Gabriel Clouse, Addylinn Stouffer, Brennan Kiner, and Ariana Alvarado-Schroder.
